Good Books.

The last book I read that I couldn't put down belonged to a series that I believe is called the Gallagher Girls. I don't like to read these kinds of books, but I thought I'd give them a try, after reading about them on Sierra's blog.

They don't contain a lot of romance (thankfully!!!) so the worst thing I would say about them is their tendency to use less than decent words ("bloody" and "oh my gosh").

These books are by no means perfect. The romance is kept to flirting and one-or-no-kissing per book. It was all pretty innocent... the language really disappointed me, though.

While they were a bit on the confusing side, I think that's because I started in the middle of the series and ended with the first book. Considering the fact that Gallagher Girls is about an academy of girl spies, the violence was well done in that I didn't cringe even once. Nothing inappropriate in that area.

The titles of the books made me a bit, shall we say, standoff-ish, but don't judge a book by its cover. *cue next book cover*

I love the main character, Cammie "The Chameleon." She is known around her spy school for being an expert at not being seen. She can just fade away so that not even a teacher at the school can find her. But no one is supposed to know. So let's keep it on the hush-hush.

Speaking of which, everything about the Gallagher Girl's School is hush-hush.

There's something called the Gallagher Glare that every Gallagher Girl gets when they leave their school and walk the streets. See, people think that they are rich snobs, but that's just their cover. *Ssh... don't tell anyone I told you*

Cammie's aunt really bugs me. She's so full of herself and everyone feeds her self-absorbency because they think she really is awesome.

This series actually isn't done. There are still two more yet to come out.

Three books I'm looking forward to coming out soon...

I reviewed the first book in this series HERE
isn't that an absolutely GORGEOUS cover? and I just LOVE the word "Onyx"
watch the book trailer HERE. you seriously have to. it's probably the best trailer I've ever seen.
Books I'm planning on reading soon that are already out...

Any book recommendations for me, you guys? Have you read any of the above?

things.

I watched My Fair Lady. It. Was. AWESOME.

I am completely in love with Audrey Hepburn as of this moment.

She wears the PRETTIEST dresses. And every time she sings I just fall *that* much more in love.

I am a CRAZY fan of old musicals, and this one was just amazing. Professor Higgins was annoying and got everything he wanted, and he never does change, but there IS something so clever about him.

Eliza (Audrey Hepburn) worried me at the beginning, with all her screaming and her strange accent.

But that wasn't really her.

And Freddy was HILARIOUS. He was so utterly in love with Eliza it was almost gross.

I don't see how Freddy could help it, however.

She was so insanely gorgeous.

Her hair here made me smile. It WAS kind of cute, though.

My Fair Lady is a VERRRRY long movie. My mom and I sat down to watch it, expecting an hour at best, and found ourselves seated in front of the TV until close to midnight. In the end, my mom left and I watched the end by myself. I would have saved it for the next day, but I couldn't just leave Eliza in the scrape she was in!! :)

Our church showed Courageous this morning.

What a heart-wrenching movie. I was bawling the whole way through.

When the adorable nine year-old died... when they all resolved to be better dads... when that awesome guy turned out to be a bad guy right at the end...

I will never forget that. Courageous had just the right mix of hilariousness and tears. It's not often that you find a good, Christian movie, but this was one of them.

I spent the day with those gorgeous girl. I love her a lot!!! ♥

she's on the left, I'm on the right
I got Facebook for my birthday. It's so much fun!

I love this song...

Joannie Rochette is amazing. Just sayin'.

I have to get off now, or else I'd go on a lot longer!!!!

Beware: of long posts about movies and such...

I really don't like shopping malls. But to get clothes, sometimes a person must enter them. And I did. So expect a fashion post really soon!

Next on the agenda, I'm leaving for two weeks in March on a missions trip. And in June. And possibly another time. But we won't talk about that now.

I am once against to be annoying and advertise my new blog, headintheclouds96.blogspot.com.

Tonight I am hoping to watch My Fair Lady.

Have you guys seen it? What did you think of it?

I also saw The Adventures of Tintin... a while ago.

A good movie, that. I love everything about it. I just love stories with adventure and pirates and treasure and ships. :) I just LOVE this moment in the movie...

And Thompson and Thomson were... well... the Thompson and Thomson. Slightly annoying, but awesome in their own way.

The guy on the left was just scary!!! And I was just starting to like him, too! My favourite people always have to turn out to be the bad guys...

I can't make up my mind about Captain Haddock. I think I like him... It's just he's always... drunk. But he's so smart, too.

And THIS... THIS WAS JUST AWESOME. Very clever.

I also just finished watching the High School Musical series over the course of a little while.

They. Were. AWESOME.

I used to make fun of them, but they were so GOOD. For the most part.

These two guys... these two were just awesome.

Troy, the guy on the left, was AMAZING. And Chad too. I love their brotherly relationship.

This song, The Boys Are Back, is awesome. It's like one of THE best songs.

Next to some of the ones Gabriella sings anyway.

And she.

She was FANTASTIC.

Her hair is to die for, and she is so SWEET. Something about her bugged me in the third one, but I still loved her.

Her wardrobe degraded by the third one, but aside from a some short skirts I thought they kept it pretty modest. And some of those dresses... I just loved them (I think I pretty much 'just loved' everything about this movie, as you may have already noticed :).

She is GORGEOUS. Her singing voice is one of THE best I've ever heard.

See this song... that moment was so sad...

And Gabriella's romance with Troy was pretty clean... which I was really happy about...

They look so cute together.

Sharpay is AWESOME. You want to watch the movie over and over just to see her.

She was priceless! Typical popular girl used to getting everything she wants.

She was just awesome.

And then there's... Ryan.

He starts out pretty clueless (and has some of THE best lines EVER) and it's fun to watch him grow less dependent on Sharpay, his sister.

At the end of the High School Musical trilogy, Ryan finally gets matched up with someone.

And she's the PERFECT choice.

Piano extraordinaire... Kelsi. Kelsi is so shy at first, and I just love her.

She has a lot of pressure on her at first, and it's interesting to watch her deal with it.

And there's Taylor.

Not only is she beautiful, but she's really caring about her friends.

And she DOESN'T make it easy for Chad to ask her to the high school prom.

The High School Musical series is, of course, very cheesy, but it's also officially one of my favourite movies EVER. There are some very emotional songs, the actors are awesome, and the songs are AWESOME (that word is way over-used).

The first movie was super clean and the best, but the second one was only okay. I think some of that stuff really could have been taking out. The third one was WAY better.

Okay.

Wow.

I'm done.

Hope you enjoyed it! (look for a post on fashion and The Hunger Games coming up really soon!!!)

hi.

Long time no talk. I have not been busy. I shall make no excuses.

So.

Before we begin, I shall, once again, shamelessly advertise my new blog: headintheclouds96.blogspot.com

And now...
I had a birthday in my absence from the blogging world. I'm not going to tell you how old I turned. Mwahahaha. And I can't post any pictures of my gorgeous friends and family.

But here's a little about my birthday anyway...

I had quite a lovely one. I stayed in my pajamas all day, slacked off school, and did lots of reading and writing.

These are the two cakes I made, a tomato soup cake, and an ice cream one...

A book I have been waiting for in the mail arrived on my birthday! I was SO happy. :) I received it for free from the publisher. If you'd like to get an awesome deal like that too, click HERE.

Is that not some of the most gorgeous cover art you've ever seen???

God blessed me with an amazing group of friends... It wasn't necessary, but they gave me some thoughtful gifts anyway. (♥Love you all!♥)

Silicone cupcake holders and a cookbook (ah! I can't wait to use them)...

Candy... always a winner... :)

A whiteboard!!! (I'm having so much fun doodling on it :)

This GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS amazing picture drawn by my friend.

A book... I finished it the following day... Tracie Peterson is awesome...

Scrapbook supplies...

A very very awesome paper mache Winnie the Pooh bear... homemade gifts are the BEST...

I also got a notebook and a game. And lots of cards. I love cards. :)

My mom made peanut butter cups for everyone...

Anyways, that was my birthday. Bye guys!
